Tea Regulation

The card akin to "Deregulation" in the other scenarios. This references the Tea Act of 1773, which gave the East India Company significantly lowered taxes on tea sold to the Colonies.

Special Session of Parliament

Tea Regulation

At the start of a turn, the Prime Minister may call a session of Parliament to vote on this law if the Available Credit is less than the either the Company Debt or the number of Tea Crates.
If it’s less than both, the session must be called.
In either case, no other policy or act is proposed.

The initial support of the law equals
the number of Tea Crates in the
Director of Warehouses’ treasury.

The Company gains a trade monopoly on tea in America.
Increase the Value of Tea by 1.
Place the Standing marker on the “S” space on the track and
3 Company ships in the Atlantic.

The Director of Warehouses
becomes the Consignor of Tea.
Return the Director of Warehouses card to the box. Flip this card.

Colonial Duty

Tea Regulation

The Company has a trade monopoly on tea and may trade in America.

The Commissioner does not collect Customs against the Company. Instead, when the Company successfully trades, add £1 to the Colonial Treasury per amount of dice rolled divided by the the Value of Tea (rounded).

The Commissioner should continue to use the rules from the previously active Duty for the firms.
